Do I have to already be an expert to go rafting? Do I have to form a group?

No, rafting is suitable for everything, even for first-timers. It is not necessary to form a minimum group, you can also book individually. We will form the rafts with other participants, a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 7 participants per raft, plus the guide.

What equipment is provided?

We supply all the certified technical material:

  • 3 mm neoprene wetsuit and water jacket
  • Life jacket and helmet
  • Neoprene booties included (so you won't get your personal shoes wet)

Is this activity safe for children?

Absolutely. Safety is our priority: children are accompanied by experienced instructors and, in the most challenging section of rapids (Mezzana), there is a compulsory shuttle transfer for children aged 6 to 13, who are then disembarked at a quieter spot.

Where and when is the meeting?

The meeting point is in Ossana (Val di Sole), strictly 30 minutes before the booked starting time.

What should I bring from home?

All you have to do is carry:

  • Swimming costume
  • T-shirt made of synthetic/microfibre material (optional)
  • Showering equipment (towel/towel and change)

From what age can one participate?

The activity is open to all children from 6 years of age. No previous experience is necessary.

How long does the experience last?

The activity lasts approximately 2 hours in total. The time includes the handover of equipment, the theory lesson (briefing), dry runs and the river descent.

What is so special about the Extreme descent?

It is exclusive to Ursus Adventures. Unlike the other descents, this one selects the best rapids in the entire Noce river, joining both the high stretch (Cusiano-Dimaro) and the low stretch (Monclassico-Cavizzana).

What rapids will we face?

You will navigate the most iconic and technical passages of the river, including the famous rapids of the 'Slalom Camp', the 'Purifier', the 'Forest Gorge', the 'Thousand M ouths' and the 'Castle'.

To whom is this activity recommended?

Only for those over the age of 14.

How long does the experience last?

The activity lasts a total of about three hours. This time includes dressing in the technical equipment, the safety lecture, transport and the long navigation in the river.

What is the Rafting Exclusive formula?

The Rafting Exclusive formula allows you to experience the classic and exciting descent of the Noce River in total intimacy. On the raft there will only be you and the people you choose to take with you along with the rafting guide.

How many people can board the dinghy?

The exclusive dinghy can accommodate a maximum of five participants in addition to the guide.

Can I have photos and video of the descent?

Yes! You can buy the package in advance (discounted) or at the end of the adventure.

Is this activity suitable for beginners?

Yes!

It is ideal for those who want to test themselves first-hand, even without previous experience, while enjoying the adrenaline rush in total safety.

What is an inflatable canoe or 'Ducky'?

You go down the river in a two-seater canoe that is very stable and easy to manoeuvre.

Can children do the Rafting Exclusive?

Yes, the activity is open to children from 6 years of age.

Safety for children: For children aged 6 to 13 years there is a compulsory transfer by land during the passage through the most challenging rapids at Mezzana. The children will be disembarked in complete safety, accompanied on our vehicles and transferred to the re-embarkation point immediately after the rapids.

Who can participate? Is it suitable for beginners?

The descent is suitable for all levels of experience, from 6 years of age.

What happens in case of bad weather or changes in the river?

The duration and route may vary depending on the conditions of the Noce River. In the event of bad weather, the activity is confirmed as long as safety conditions are guaranteed.

Can I have a memento of the day?

Yes! You can buy the package in advance (discounted) or at the end of the adventure.

How are the canoes allocated?

We mainly use double canoes. We always try to keep family groups together, but in the case of odd numbers the guide may combine different people or assign single canoes to ensure maximum safety and stability while sailing.

Where is the meeting point?

The meeting point is in Val di Non, at the Spiaggia delle Plaze in Dermulo (Lago di Santa Giustina). The area has ample parking, a bar, toilets and changing rooms.

What equipment is provided?

We will provide you with everything you need for navigation: kayak (usually two-seater), paddle, life jacket and helmet.

What should I bring from home?

  • Swimming costume
  • Shoes that can get wet (closed sandals or old trainers)
  • Sun cream
  • Complete change of clothes for post-activity.

How long is the hike?

The activity lasts a total of three hours. The time includes handover of equipment, safety briefing, transport by boat, exploration of the canyons by kayak and return.

From what age can one participate?

The experience is super-safe and perfect for families, also suitable for young children from 5 years of age.

Is it a strenuous activity?

No, it's within everyone's reach! Ursus Adventures is the only centre that offers a motorboat towing service. You will be comfortably transported for 20 minutes to the mouth of the canyons.

What technical equipment is provided?

Inflatable canoe and paddle, 3 mm neoprene wetsuit, water jacket, neoprene boots life jacket and helmet.

What should I bring from home?

There are two modes:

  • With assistance from an external kayak: Approx. 5 km route from Ossana to Mezzana (ideal for those who want more autonomy).
  • With guide on board: Longer route of approximately 10 km to Dimaro, guaranteeing maximum assistance and safety along the entire route.

How long is the trek?

The experience lasts a total of about three hours, the perfect time to immerse yourself in the darkness and enjoy the guides' explanations without hurrying.

To whom is this experience suitable?

It is a perfect activity for adults and families with children from 10 years of age.

Can the activity also be done in winter?

Of course! The AstroExperience is available all year round. During the winter months, the excursion turns into an atmospheric night snowshoe hi ke.

Where does the excursion take place?

We choose the darkest and most evocative places in Val di Sole and its surroundings, such as Fort Barbadifior, Campo Carlo Magno or the Ossana and Valpiana area, territories that have been awarded 'Italy's most beautiful skies'.

The meeting point is 30 minutes before the start at our base in Ossana (Val di Sole).

What does the AstroExperience consist of?

This is a guided astronomical night trek. We will walk far from light pollution to observe constellations, planets and the Milky Way. Our guides will use special laser pointers to reveal to you the secrets of the starry sky in a totally peaceful atmosphere.

What if the weather is bad or there is too much water?

If the weather conditions or the flow of the stream do not guarantee safety, we will agree together on an alternative activity such as tarzaning or a via ferrata.

What technical equipment do you provide?

We deliver all the necessary material to you, sanitised before and after each outing:

  • 5mm neoprene wetsuit (thicker than a rafting suit to protect you from the cold)
  • Helmet
  • Harness and carabiners

What else should I bring from home?

In addition to your shoes, take

  • Swimming costume
  • T-shirt (possibly made of synthetic material or microfleece to put under the wetsuit)
  • Complete change of clothes (including socks and towel) for the final shower.

What kind of shoes should I wear?

You must wear hiking shoes or hiking boots that can get wet. It is preferable to wear footwear that is high above the ankle and with a sole that has a good grip so as not to slip on rocks.

How long does the experience last?

The total duration is approximately 3 hours. The time includes the handover of the equipment, the theory briefing, transport in the minibus (15 min), the approach on foot (15 min) and the descent into the gorge.

Is it a safe activity? Who accompanies us?

Safety is guaranteed by our professional mountain guides. They handle the rope manoeuvres and teach you the correct techniques for jumping and descending in total safety.

Where does the activity take place?

We take you to the Velon Canyon (Vermiglio), at the foot of the Presanella .

What happens if the lake level changes?

Lake Santa Giustina is an artificial reservoir subject to changes in level. Depending on water conditions or the presence of debris, we may visit one or two canyons. The essence and charm of the experience is still guaranteed!

What exactly is canyoning?

Canyoning (or canyoning) is an adventure that combines mountaineering and river sports. It consists of exploring gorges and canyons carved by water, overcoming natural obstacles with dives, slides and abseiling down waterfalls.

Why is Val di Sole special for stars?

Val di Sole is an excellent destination for astrotourism thanks to its very low light pollution. Some of our locations are certified among the best places in Italy to observe the Milky Way and celestial phenomena.

Is equipment provided?

Yes, Ursus Adventures will provide you with a headlamp to illuminate the trail while walking safely.

How does it differ from the AstroExperience?

While the AstroExperience is an itinerant trek, this activity is anin-depth, technical astronomical observation. You will be accompanied by expert astronomers who will use powerful telescopes to show you details of the Moon, planets and deep-sky objects invisible to the naked eye.

What should I bring from home?

Since this is a night activity in the mountains, correct clothing is essential:

  • Layered clothing (to adapt to changes in temperature)
  • Mountain boots (suitable for snow in winter)
  • Windproof jacket, hat and gloves
  • A rucksack for your personal belongings.

From what age can one participate?

The experience is designed for adults and families with children aged 10 and above.

Is it a strenuous activity?

Not at all. The observation site is easily accessible by car. Once parked, it is only a short and easy walk of about 15 minutes to reach the astronomers' station.

Where does the observation take place?

The activity takes place in Ossana or neighbouring areas, a village that has been recognised as one of 'Italy's most beautiful skies'. The observation site is chosen for the total absence of light pollution and the absolute silence of the surrounding nature.

What happens if it rains?

Tarzaning doesn't stop! The activity can also be carried out regularly in the rain, making it a great option when the weather is not perfect for other activities.

Can everyone participate?

The activity is open to adults and childrenover 140 cm tall. It is essential not to suffer from vertigo, as much of the experience takes place at considerable heights above the canyon floor.

The experience takes place in a Canyon, in Vermiglio in Val di Sole, just 15 minutes from our centre.

Is it a safe activity? Who accompanies us?

Safety is total: you will be accompanied by experienced mountain guides who will follow you step by step along the entire route, handling connections and safeties.

What is the difference with Canyoning?

While in canyoning one enters the water wearing a wetsuit, in Tarzaning one remains suspended in the air. It is the ideal activity for those who seek the thrill of wild gorges but prefer not to get wet or want an experience more oriented towards mountaineering techniques.

What is Tarzaning?

Tarzaning is a kind of 'dry' acrobatic canyoning. Instead of swimming in the torrent, you explore the canyon from above, flying over waterfalls and passing from wall to wall suspended in the void. It is an adrenaline-fuelled mix of Tibetan bridges, pulleys, ziplines and short climbing sections.

How do you reach the place of activity?

The meeting point is at our headquarters in Ossana, 30 minutes before the start. After the briefing, the transfer to Malga Frattasecca in Val di Peio (approx. 15 minutes) is by own means.

What should I bring from home?

To tackle the ferrata in comfort, you need:

  • Mountain boots (essential for grip on rock)
  • Mountain clothing in layers and a windproof jacket
  • Backpack with water bottle
  • Gloves (work or cyclinggloves are also fine) to protect your hands from the metal cable.

What are the requirements to participate?

The activity is open to adults and children. More than age, stature counts: you must beover 140 cm tall to be able to use the safety equipment correctly.

What equipment is provided?

Ursus Adventures provides all the certified technical kit: helmet, harness, ropes and via ferrata set with carabiners.

How long does the experience last?

The activity lasts about three hours in total, including the approach on foot, the equipped route and the rappelling and pulley manoeuvres.

Is it suitable for those who have never climbed?

Yes! This route is considered propaedeutic: it is ideal for adults who want to learn progression techniques and for youngsters who want to test themselves for the first time in total safety.

What is the Via Ferrata Barba di Fior?

This is a very fun equipped route located in a wild environment in Val di Peio, right at the foot of an old First World War fortress. It is a mix of adrenaline and history that includes climbing the wall, a 30-metre abseil and a spectacular 65-metre tyrolean (pulley).

At what time of year can it be done?

It is a year-round activity. Each season offers a different portion of the sky: from the planets of summer to the crystalline constellations of winter.

What should I bring from home?

Even if you walk very little, you are standing outside at night, so it is essential to cover yourself well:

  • Very warm layered clothing
  • Windproof jacket
  • Hat and gloves
  • Hiking boots (essential for thermal insulation from the ground)

Ursus Adventures provides the professional telescopes and laser pointers used by the experts during the evening.

How long does the activity last?

The experience lasts about three hours (with about two and a half hours of actual observation and explanations), offering plenty of time to interact with the astronomers and ask questions.

Is there a stop planned during the tour?

Of course! During the passage to Malga Valpiana, you will have the opportunity to take a short break to taste typical products such as freshly milked milk or panna cotta with wild berries, before the descent to Ossana Castle.

The tour lasts about 3 hours, including the handover of the bikes, technical explanation on the use of the gearbox and electric assistance, scenic breaks and the return.

What does the e-bike tour consist of?

This is a guided excursion on electric pedal-assisted bicycles. The route touches the most spectacular spots in the area: we will cycle along the cycle path, climb up to the crystal-clear Lago dei Caprioli, explore the Valpiana and admire the Sas Pisador waterfall.

Who can do it? Is special physical preparation necessary?

Tandem flying can be done by anyone who wants to!

At what time of year can you fly?

You can fly all year round! Each season offers completely different and spectacular scenery, from the summer colours of Val di Sole to the snow-capped peaks in winter.

Are there changing rooms or rest areas after the game?

Yes, after the match you can enjoy changing rooms with hot showers, picnic areas, a bar and large relaxation areas to recharge your batteries and comment on the best actions of the day with your friends.

How should I dress? What should I bring from home?

We recommend wearing comfortable, sporty clothing, preferably long trousers and long-sleeved shirts to cushion the impact of pellets. Sneakers or hiking shoes suitable for rough terrain are essential.

What happens if I run out of pellets during the game?

The first 250 pellets are included, but we advise you to dose your shots strategically! Should you run out, you can purchase additional refills directly in the field at the following prices:

  • 500 shots: 20 €
  • 1000 shots: 35 €
  • 2000 rounds: 60 €

What equipment do you supply?

Included in the participation fee you will receive all the safety and game kit:

  • Marker (the paintball gun) safe and functional.
  • Protective mask for eyes and face, bib and neck guard.
  • An initial refill of 250 biodegradable pellets per person.

Is paintball a safe game?

Yes, paintballing with Ursus Adventures is a totally safe experience. We provide high-quality equipment and full face and body protection. In addition, the game is constantly monitored by our experienced staff.

Are the matches supervised?

Yes. A dedicated referee is always present throughout the game. The referee is responsible for explaining the rules of the game, checking compliance with the rules of conduct and ensuring maximum safety both on the pitch and in the safety zone.

How long does the activity last?

The overall experience lasts about 1 hour and 30 minutes.

What is the minimum age to participate?

The experience is suitable for all children and adults aged 14 and over.

The activity is available from April to October. We always recommend booking to ensure camp availability.

What is Orienteering?

Orienteering is an adventurous discipline that consists of completing a predefined route in the shortest possible time, finding checkpoints called 'lanterns' (stakes with a punch). To orient themselves in the woods and villages of the Val di Sole, participants have only two tools at their disposal: a compass and a very detailed topographical map.

Is it possible to take photos or videos during the flight?

Not only is it possible, it is already included! Digital photographs and videos of your experience are included in the price. You won't have to worry about anything except looking at the view: when you return, you will have an indelible and spectacular memory of your adventure in the skies over Trentino.

How should I dress? What should I bring from home?

In order to enjoy your flight in total comfort, we ask you to arrive in layered mountain clothing. In particular, do not forget to bring:
