Wildlife Watching, discover the animals of the forest

There are special moments in the forest when animals begin to move freely and undisturbed through nature. The best times to observe wildlife are early in the morning and at dusk. At these hours, animals feel safer and leave the forest in search of food in clearings and meadows along the forest edge, making them easier to spot.

And it is precisely during these moments that you can become a privileged observer of alpine wildlife, thanks to this fantastic nature experience.

You will be accompanied by an expert local guide who will reveal all the secrets of the forest and its animals through an unforgettable Wildlife Watching experience.

But what exactly is Wildlife Watching? It is the observation of wild animals in their natural habitat. A true adventure that we offer in the Stelvio National Park, discovering its hidden inhabitants.

You will have the chance to admire a wide variety of wildlife, including the undisputed king of the Stelvio forests: the red deer.

Your walk will lead you to remote mountain huts, where you can enjoy a sweet break offered by your guide. Every little sound will make your heart race… who knows what may be hiding behind that fir tree!

A truly ancestral and magical adventure that can be experienced in every season, with the support of the Ursus Adventures staff.

Wildlife sightings cannot be guaranteed, because these animals are truly wild and certainly not waiting for us. What is guaranteed, however, are the wonderful emotions of experiencing nature in complete harmony with the surrounding environment. We will surely discover signs of their presence and passage. Some animals are easier to spot, such as deer and roe deer, while others are real ghosts of the forest, like bears, wolves, and martens, whose presence we may still detect with careful observation.

This experience is available all year round, even in winter, when it becomes easier to discover traces of wildlife, such as footprints in the snow, droppings, and fur left behind during seasonal changes.

During the winter season, some animals are already hibernating, while many others can still be easily spotted.
