Orienteering consists in carrying out a predefined route characterized by control points called “lanterns” (a stake with a stapler) with the only help of a compass and a very detailed topographical map which contains details of the place to be covered.
Woods and forests are the main settings for this sport. It is a very formative but at the same time fun activity, where you can decide the way you want to play. You can decide, for example, to play against your opponents or to divide in teams and collaborate with the other members of the group.
Orienteering can take place all year round and in multiple situations.
For example, you can do it on a MTB, with snowshoes or in a regular way. Another option is the “treasure hunt“, where the participants will enjoy a cheerful barbecue (only those who will find food along the way!) at the end of the game.
What is included:
You just have to bring mountain clothing, a backpack, a water bottle and a pair of mountain shoes.
