This experience is designed for professional photographers, photojournalists, enthusiasts and amateurs who want to improve their skills in the field of wildlife photography.
The aim of this new activity is to explore the area in search of native flora and fauna while capturing moments, memories and emotions that will stay with you forever. You will also improve your photographic technique by learning professional tips and tricks acquired over years of experience around the world by our outstanding guide Mirko Sotgiu, who will gladly share his knowledge with you.
Mirko Sotgiu is a photojournalist and mountain guide specialized in adventure and nature travel. Travelling through mountains around the world and discovering their natural beauty is not only his work, but also his passion. He entered the world of cinema and photography at the age of 18, immediately producing reports and documentaries.
Since 1997 he has dedicated himself to reportage and landscape photography, creating photo services and documentaries for magazines and websites focused on tourism, mountains, sports and nature, as well as producing videos for major television networks and outdoor brands.
He regularly collaborates with the editorial teams of Natura, Oasis, Meridiani, Meridiani Montagne, Bell’Europa, Desnivel, Alpes and Country&Travel.
In the film and video industry he has worked with RAI, ZDF and BskyB. In 2008 he began collaborating on the “Share Everest” project with the United Nations Environment Programme and Ev-K2-CNR.
In 2014 and 2015 he participated in a project for the Forest Stewardship Council. He is also an editorial photographer for Oasis magazine, an environmental culture magazine where he writes technical and creative articles on wildlife photography.
Since 2016 he has been part of OpenCircle – Sharing Outdoor Passion, a media production agency focused on adventure and extreme sports.
He actively collaborates on communication projects and books with organizations including the Orobie Valtellinesi Nature Park, Groane Regional Park, Serio Regional Park, Lame del Sesia Regional Park, Grigne Regional Park, Adda Nord Park, WWF Italy, FSC Italy, Ev-K2-CNR and Montagna.tv.
He also collaborates with several national and international associations connected to the mountain world, including the Mountain Wilderness Association.
