Imagine you are in Val Brenta in Madonna di Campiglio, surrounded by majestic peaks and imposing ice walls. The day is cool and the sky opens up above you, promising an adventurous day of ice climbing.

We begin with a snowy approach to the icefalls in the Brenta Dolomites, the realm of ice climbing. We will use snowshoes if necessary and the route will allow us to warm up before the real adventure.

After the handover of the technical equipment, the mountain guide will hold a short theory lesson, giving you the necessary instructions to undertake this fantastic activity and guaranteeing you maximum safety.

Then begins the adventure, which consists of climbing an icefall with crampons and ice axe, where the fun will be equal to the safety of the experience.

This is a real ice climbing baptism, where you will learn the correct ascent technique and then the abseil, always assisted by a mountain guide.

Theice climbing baptism takes place in the beautiful and wild Val Brenta, a hidden and still unspoilt corner of Trentino.

Dressing appropriately is essential to cope with low temperatures and to ensure safety during ice climbing. Wearing thermal layers is essential to maintain body heat, so start with a thin base layer that retains heat, such as a thermo jersey and thermal trousers. Then overlay an insulating fleece or sweatshirt to increase thermal insulation. Your ice climbing jacket should be waterproof and breathable to protect you from the elements and keep you dry.

Once you are equipped, the adventure begins.Ice climbing requires concentration and technical skill. The sound of tools pounding in the ice, heavy breathing due to exertion and the breathtaking surrounding landscape create a unique atmosphere. The feeling of climbing the ice wall, of pushing oneself beyond one's physical and mental limits, is rewarding and adrenalin-filled.

Ice climbing sounds like an impossible activity for real experts. It is not so. Logically, it takes the right amount of training, the right clothing, but mainly it is a matter of mind and motivation.

All you need is to come with comfortable winter clothing in layers, a hat and gloves. Also bring your hiking boots (if you have them with crampons), to which the crampons will be attached. We recommend warm clothing and a thermos of hot tea in addition to the food that everyone will be consuming.
